These are a standard size5, 12 - 18 mos. You can convo me if you need exact inches of length and width. But the great thing about this soft hide is it stretches or forms to the foot!

The hide usually will outlast the child growing out of them! They can either be passed to another child, or kept as an heirloom item.

I have made many pairs of these for sale and for gifts and everyone just thinks they are wonderful.

There is a bright star flower beaded on the upper, in colors that can suit a boy or girl.

The red in the back gives these a unique style, sometimes Native Americans would dye things with berries or moss.

These These are a newborn size pair of mocassins, hand stitched with sinew in the most Common Native American style.


The upper is made of very soft deer hide. The main benefit of this type of hide besides that it is soft on the bare foot, is that it has some give which allows for material to easily adapt to the foot.

The sole is made of a thicker elk, and the back is made of another type of animal leather.

There is a cute red beaded butterfly to match the red back fringe of the shoe. The back fringe has the suede on the outside and smooth side on the inside for the gentleness on the heel of the foot-as is traditional.

Size 0 (sometimes stores will list nb as size 1)

Length of sole from toe to heel= 3.75 inches.
Width of shoe at widest point in middle= 1.25 inches
Height of upper from bottom to to p= 1.5 inches.

Okay I just think these are adorable! I haven't seen anything like them, I wouldn't go so far as to say they do not exist, but I'm certain these are WAY unique.

These are little newborn sandals with a turtle (representative of Turtle Island-America)
stitched and I have padded the inside of the soles with felt as it gives the sandals a crisp look.
